Bamboo Forest is part of the Pipiwa Trail in Haleakala National Park, along the way you will see the 200 ft Makahiku Falls and other beautiful waterfalls.
You’ll find it very cool and refreshing, as you enter the bamboo territory, that goes on for about half a mile. The most interesting part is the sound of the bamboos, which is almost musical, as they bump into one another when the wind blows. At the end of the trail is a 400 ft stunning waterfall called the Waimoku Falls.
Hiking the Pipiwa Trail is about 2 miles that will take you 2 hours. So if you’re up for adventures and challenging trails, this place is highly recommended. You will be rewarded by a breathtaking sight of the Bamboo forest.
