Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden located just 10 minutes north of Hilo along the Hamakua Coast, Highway 19. The garden has over 1,800 species of tropical plants including orchids, banana groves & more in a tranquil setting.
This 40 acre garden has over 2,000 species, representing more than 125 families and 750 genera, which are found in this unique botanical garden. This garden has the world’s largest selection of tropical plants growing in a natural environment.
There is a $20 cover charge to get into the botanical gardens. It is recommended that you bring some form of insect repellent. Also bare in mind it can get humid underneath the canopy.
