With a population of nearly 9,300 residents, Waimea is a cowboy town of rolling green pastures farms and ranches.

Originally settled by native Hawaiians who practiced subsistence agriculture thrived in this area long before European establishments were set up.

Located above the clouds, between two extinct volcanos, Mauna Kea and Kohala, this town is known for it’s beef that comes from the world famous Parker Ranch.

The average temperature year round is low to mid 70’s.
