Hōlualoa Bay, commonly known as Lyman Beach is an excellent place for medium to advanced level surfers to catch some waves. This deep-water point break needs a good-sized swell in order to break.
Located 5 minutes south of downtown Kailua-Kona this popular surf spot is an excellent place to surf and check out the local surfing community.
Although abundant with marine life, Lyman Beach is where the surfers hang out. Because Lyman Beach is on the Keolonahihi State Historical Park it is not authorized to fish.
