Makapuu Lighthouse Trail

If you are a fan of hiking but find it challenging for no reason, then you have not tried them all. He Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail in Oahu is a gentle and easy hike for beginners. It is basically a paved path where even children and senior citizens can hike with incredible ease.

As you walk up the pavement to the lighthouse, the view of the bright blue ocean becomes more apparent.

If you are lucky, you will see plenty of Humpback whales in the Molokai Channel that runs right past the Lighthouse. There are on-site telescopes to guarantee fantastic and clear views of everything around you no matter the distance.

At the top, you will be rewarded with more spectacular views of the ocean and the Makapu’u Lighthouse.

The view of Makapu’u Beach and the Koko Head from up is breathtaking to say the least. The lighthouse is shiny and over 100 years old. It overlooks the Makapu’u Beach and a sea life park.

Oahu’s eastern coast and the island of Molokai and two other smaller islands are also visible from the top. Also, plenty of local healthy eats to enjoy the Hawaiian vacation experience. Whether you are five or fifty, Makapu’u Lighthouse trail is a must visit.
