This 4.5 mile round-trip hike takes you up 1,500 feet through a lush forest of kukui, guava, ohi’a, and ferns in the West Maui Forest Reserve. The hike is abundant with lush scenery, great valley views and some incredible ridge-line hiking.
The Waihee Ridge Trail is well maintained, with multiple benches at incredibly gorgeous overlooks along the way. There is even a picnic table at the summit of the trail.
This trail is dog friendly, but must be kept on a leash. The trail is accessible year round! Because of its location, in the lush West Maui Mountains, it does rain more often than the lower areas. So do keep that in mind when selecting your clothing and footwear.
